BIOGRAPHY
COMMITTEE MEMBERS
I joined the club in August 1995 when my eldest son joined the under 12s from Montagu & North Fenham Boys Club. Like most volunteers I started helping the team manager, then got involved with a bit of coaching. Wanting to find out more about coaching I did a junior team managers qualification, this led on to doing the FA Preliminary Badge and coaching with the Football Development at Gibside Gardens. I ran teams at under 15 and 16 for differentclubs and assisted with coaching for my youngest sons' team, while stillbeing a part of Grainger Park. I sat for a while on the Grainger Park BoysClub Management Committee and when my son left the club I helped with thefootball management committee. In order to help the club continue to developand bring in new teams I started a summer school which led to Under 8 andunder 9 teams being introduced to the club. I continued bringing in players with the help of Allan Smith and managed to form an under 8 team every year.I now find myself Chairperson of the Football Section and Development Officer tasked with moving the club forward again.
